Optical remote sensing is an important technical method for constructing a digital earth, and it has been widely used in the field of space-ground integrated earth observation and spatial information science. The team is mainly responsible to provide metrological technical support for remote sensing load design, calibration, etc.; and provide the traceability for terrestrial, ocean and atmospheric remote sensing data links.
The team consists of a number of researchers of relevant disciplines who have completely mastered the expertise in remote sensing, physics, meteorology, engineering, and computer science. All the members are committed to supporting remote sensing load design, pre-launch and on-orbit calibration, and the traceability of global demonstration sites to the International System of Units (SI) through a constantly-upgraded optical radiation measurement system. The measured data of the National Comprehensive Calibration and Validation Site for High Resolution Remote Sensing has been integrated into the global demonstration satellite comparison network.
